Regional Coordinator (South-East)
Peggy Ijeoma Chukwuemeka is a trailblazing Nigerian psychologist, researcher, and child protection specialist whose life’s work centers on strengthening families, combating drug abuse, and mitigating gender-based violence (GBV). As the Executive Director of the Parent-Child Intervention Centre (PCIC), a prominent NGO headquartered in Enugu State Nigeria, she has dedicated over a decade to fostering safer communities through education, advocacy, and grassroots interventions. Born and raised in Nigeria, Peggy’s professional expertise spans psychology from Enugu State University of Science and Technology, and extensive research in family dynamics, substance abuse prevention, and good governance.

She has authored four influential parenting books that empower families to navigate modern challenges like addiction and domestic strife. Her flagship initiative, the Parents-for-Parents Network (P4PN), pioneered in Nigeria, trains volunteers to educate communities on the perils of drug abuse and GBV. This network has yielded remarkable results, including reduced substance use among youth and lower domestic violence rates, by mobilizing parents as change agents in their local spheres.
